Dezful

With over 4100 sq km of area Dezful is located in the North of Khozestan province. This city is bordering Andimeshk

to the North , Masjed-e-Suleiman to the East , Ilam to the West and Ahwaz to the South.
Historically Dezful is an old city in which bricks for the first time were widely used in construction of various types of buildings . Due to its traditional and natural attraction , this city is one of Iran"s important cities. There was a bridge constructed over the river Dez in the Sassanids era (224-562 CE) in Dezful , hence the names Dezpol ( in Persian pol means bridge) , Dezhpol or Dezful were all inspired by it.
The city of Dezhpol existed untile mid 18th century and its remnants bridge in thousands of visitors to the city each year.
